21st French Film Festival

The French Embassy paid homage to the cast and crew of Ma’Rosa, recreating the red carpet at the 2016 Cannes film Festival. French car Peugeot provided the limousine for the motorcade, alongside the cast and crew is Best actress, Jaclyn Jose.

From June 8 to 14, Greenbelt 3, Bonifacio High Street cinemas and Cinematheque Centre Manila will be showcasing 17 French films that were released between 2013 and 2016.

With over 15,000 recorded viewers from Cebu and Manila last year, these loyal audience of movie enthusiast and casual moviegoers have been multiplying annually. For 21 years, the French film festival have been offering to the Filipinos a different kind of cinema, culture and language to indulge in.

During Independence day, June 12, two local Filipino films will be presented, both have been featured at international film festivals in France. “Imbisibol” by Lawrence Fajardo and “Manang Biring” an animated film by Joseph Papa.

Tickets are priced at P100 for operational costs of the theaters and may be purchased at the cinema lobby or online through www.sureseats.com.
